Securities donated directly to a registered charity do not normally incur income tax and are eligible for an in-kind tax receipt. Securities can include stocks, mutual funds, segregated funds, bonds, flow-through shares, and employee stock options.

 

The Victoria Foundation facilitates gifts of securities to benefit Cowichan Hospice at no cost, and provides in-kind tax receipts.
