The generosity of our donors is vital in ensuring that those in need of compassionate end-of-life care in our community, and their caregivers and loved ones, will always have access to the support they need.

There are many ways you can support to Cowichan Hospice. Below are some possible options. Please consult your financial adviser to determine the method that that is best for you, or contact us at 250-701-4242 for more information.​
Make a Donation Today
Donate securely with our online form, send a donation by mail, or call us to make a credit card donation. Choose a one-time donation, monthly giving, or a gift in memory.
Donate a Gift of Securities
Securities donated directly to a registered charity do not normally incur income tax and are eligible for an in-kind tax receipt. Gifts of securities can include stocks, mutual funds, segregated funds, bonds, flow-through shares, and employee stock options. The Victoria Foundation facilitates gifts of securities to benefit Cowichan Hospice at no cost and provides in-kind tax receipts.
Leave a Gift in Your Will
After remembering your loved ones, you can designate a specific gift or portion of your estate to Cowichan Hospice. A charitable gift in a will is the easiest way you can provide a legacy gift and the donation receipt can be used to offset the taxes payable upon your death.
Contribute to the Cowichan Hospice Endowment Fund
The Cowichan Hospice Endowment Fund with the Victoria Foundation permanently holds and invests funds for long-term growth. A percentage of the annual interest earned is paid to Cowichan Hospice to support hospice care at Cowichan Hospice House and in the community.
Make a Gift of an RRSP
A simple way to make an impact without making changes to your will is to name Cowichan Hospice as the beneficiary of your RRSP/RRIF.
Make a Gift of Life Insurance
An insurance policy may be donated to, or name Cowichan Hospice as a beneficiary. An insurance policy may also be taken out on an individual, with the donor donating the premium and Cowichan Hospice owning and named as beneficiary of policy.
Support the Annual Cycle of Life Tour
The 12th Annual Cycle of Life Tour, held this year on July 19th and 20th, is a two-day, 200-kilometer group bike ride to raise money for hospice care on Vancouver Island.
Sponsor a Reel Alternatives Film
Reel Alternatives is a non-profit organization bringing critically acclaimed films from the Toronto International Film Festival to the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre.
Host a Fundraiser

Become Part of Our Legacy Circle
The Legacy Circle is a group of wonderful community members who have left a gift to Cowichan Hospice in their wills. If you would like make us aware that you are leaving a gift to Cowichan Hospice, please reach out to Monika at 250-701-4242 or kacey@cowichanhospice.org, and you will have the option to join the Legacy Circle. As a member of the Legacy Circle, you will be invited to special events, receive regular updates, and — if you so wish — your name will be listed on our donor wall and in our annual reports (unless, of course, you prefer to remain anonymous).
